The area surrounding Spithami is home to beautiful sandy beaches, rolling sand dunes, and a picturesque limestone coastline, inviting you to enjoy peaceful walks and immerse yourself in nature. Nearby Cape Põõsaspea is one of Northern Europe's most renowned birdwatching locations, especially for observing migrating waterbirds. During the spring and autumn migration seasons, thousands of birds pass through the area, making it a favourite destination for birdwatchers and nature lovers alike.
Hiking Trails and Forest Lakes
The area around Spithami offers excellent opportunities for hiking and cycling. Several scenic hiking trails maintained by the Estonian State Forest Management Centre (RMK) run through the region, including the Liivanõmme and Jugapuulaane nature trails, as well as the coastal and forest trails of Cape Põõsaspea and Peraküla. Nestled among fragrant pine forests, peaceful woodland lakes provide beautiful scenery and idyllic spots for a relaxing picnic in nature.

Roosta Resto, together with its beach bar, is a great choice for both lunch and dinner. During the summer season, the Över-Marsi Restaurant also welcomes guests with a menu featuring dishes made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
